How to ruin a great design
This piece of writing Alice Rawsthorn, first explains that back in the
old times, signs on streets were simple and yet still made there point
on what it explained. As the passage continues, Alice then explains how
the newer street signs are what she says as a “a crime against design.”
Alice claims that not only are the newer designs "unsafe", but just
make no sense in general. There was an example about a cyclist design
that first was a simple design of an arrow and two words but put too
much emphasis on the first letter which makes it distracting for people
driving pass it. In a nut shell, Alice says that designers for street
signs have not only gotten lazy with their designs but just didn't take
them seriously enough to make new ones.
